Our ordering process starts right here with a visit to our online catalogue and finishing options. That's where you'll be able to browse every frame we have to offer along with all of our options. Our online order form guides you through all the options for each frame.
You may find the number of options a little overwhelming, but our order form starts with the big decisions, like frame size and the fittings you'll need for your groupset, before moving onto the choices for the finish of the frame and fork, and any extras, like bidon cages, or even a complete bike build kit.
All of the prices for our extras are detailed in each menu, and you will be able to see the total for the order at the bottom of the form as you build up your new frameset.
Once you have completed your options, your order is ready to be placed.
When you click on "Order Now" at the bottom of this form, you will be able to review the order and provide your details to pay AU$500 deposit.
Once paid, you will have secured your place in our production queue, and we will be in touch to confirm your order. It is worth noting that our lead time includes a wait period of several weeks simply because we are working on the orders at the head of our production queue.
As for the balance owing on your order, we like to collect it in three instalments that keep pace with our production milestones. This helps us cover our production costs, and it may help you with the burden of a lump sum payment.
The first milestone is to create the blueprint for your new frame.
We use BikeCAD to generate our blueprints, a powerful program that allows us to detail every part of the final build. You will be able to compare our numbers with your fit data as well as getting a good sense of the final proportions of the frame when fitted with your choice of parts. It is even possible to use it to help decide on a colour scheme, though we do not create mockups of custom anodising or Aboriginal art.
You will have some time to review the blueprint, and once you sign-off on the design, we will collect the next instalment, equivalent to 40% of the initial purchase price.
The second milestone is to manufacture your frame.
With all of the specifications finalised, we can starting collecting tubes for cutting and mitring, bending the stays, printing the dropouts (which is out-sourced to one of the leaders in 3D-printing), and machining the head tube. Once we have all the pieces of the puzzle, we can arrange them in our jig and start welding them.
If you have ordered a stem and/or post with your frame, then we will start bringing those pieces together, too. This is also the time when we send out the next invoice, bringing all instalments up to approximately 70% of your total purchase price.
The third and final milestone is to apply all our finishing touches.
With the frame welded, it might seem that the bulk of our work is done, but the final touches are often the most labour-intensive and time-consuming. There is also the production schedules of our painter and Noongar artist to consider, along with the time needed to collect a few professional photos of the finished product.
Once we reach this point, we can issue our invoice for the final instalment, and more importantly, provide you with a firm date when you can collect your new Mooro!
New frame day!
There is no better day than New Frame Day. It is always a thrill to finally deliver a new frameset to our customers. This may entail a visit to our workshop, or, if you are located outside of Perth, we can organise packing and delivery.
That doesn't bring our ordering process to a complete close, though. We always look forward to getting feedback from every customer once they've had a chance to ride their new Mooro, and of course, we are here to back up each frameset with our after sales care.
