Welding titanium frames is a high-risk craft. The starting material is costly, and the act of heating the metal to very high temperatures to weld a joint is enough to ruin it—if it is contaminated with oxygen.
So we take the time to measure twice before we cut our tubes, and we wait a little longer to ensure that they are completely purged of oxygen before we start welding them. This kind of care and diligence is necessary if we are to meet the high standards that we set for ourselves.
Our current lead time for our framesets is 12-16 weeks. There are a lot of moving parts involved in creating a new frame, some of which are beyond our control. We understand your excitement and anticipation—indeed, we thrive on fulfilling your desires—but we will not rush any step in the process in order to satisfy an arbitrary delivery date.
Once you place an order, we will provide you with ongoing updates on our progress, where our forecast for delivery will become more reliable as we get closer to completing your frameset.
